I have spent quite a bit of time testing both Brian Kopp’s Alliance leveling guide and Joana’s Horde leveling guide, and I can vouch for the quality of both their guides. Brian and Joana were the first to actually document their journey to level 60, and then level 70 after the Burning Crusade expansion came out. In fact, Joana holds the world record of 4 days and 20 hours game time for leveling her Horde character – a game time which has so far been unbeaten.
There are other good quality guides available for leveling your Horde or Alliance characters, but the fact remains that these two authors are the giants of the World of Warcraft leveling guides market. You will not be dissapointed by purchasing a guide off Joana or Brian Kopp, while there is a chance you will be dissapointed by purchasing a less known guide.
However, that is not to say that the other guides are not worth checking out. Elite WoW are one team of World of Warcraft players who have produced and sold guides for both Horde and Alliance players for the same price of a guide on just Horde or Alliance by Joana and Kopp, making their guides actually the cheapest in the market. The drawback, however, is that the quality of their guides, while good, do not match the excellence of Joana’s and Kopp’s.
Ultimately, the choice is yours. If you’re on a budget, you could go for the Elite WoW 1-70 Guides. If not, then it might be worth investing the extra pennies in Brian Kopp’s 1-70 Alliance Leveling Guide or Joana’s 1-70 Horde Leveling Guide. Whichever you do go for though, will stay with you in the long run, because all three guides mentioned offer a life times worth of updates.
